Tonight we are hosting friends and family for Christmas Eve. I’m so excited to have our home filled with people we care about celebrating the holiday together. I love to give favors or treats out to the kids that are here. Today, I’m making these Candy Cane Crunch Cookies. I found this great Pinterest post a few years ago that serves as my inspiration. These crunchy cookies are so yummy! They are the perfect thing to give as a little parting gift. They look so cute and festive! Not to mention, they are delicious.

I am always hesitant to make recipes that involve tempering chocolate. It looks time consuming and, quite frankly, kind of a pain. But, I promise you these could not be easier to make! Grab a bag of regular Oreo cookies, some CandyQuik in vanilla and candy canes. I use the CandyQuik that comes in the tray. You can microwave it in this and it comes out perfect. No stove top tempering needed. Unwrap the candy canes and add them to a ziplock bag. Pound them until they break into small bits. Put down a few sheets of wax paper on your counter. Then, melt your CandyQuik. Using a fork, dip the Oreo into the melted chocolate. Place them on the wax paper and sprinkle each one with some of the crushed candy canes immediately. These set up very quickly. And that’s it!

I know you may be thinking, it’s just an Oreo. But, there’s something about the chocolate and the peppermint that really elevates these to crunchy, holiday deliciousness! Enjoy these Candy Cane Crunch Cookies. I wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas!
