Merry Christmas! Come on in. Let’s take a look around at the all the sparkle and magic that is Christmas right now in our home. I’m a traditionalist. While I love seeing all the trendy neutral palettes that people are decorating with right now, Christmas to me always has pops of festive red. I don’t care if it matches the rest of my home decor, I include it every year.

We’ve been enjoying just sitting in the dark with the glow of the lit Christmas tree. It’s so peaceful and one of the most simple of Christmas traditions. Everything just seems serene by the light of the tree.

I’m yearning for a flocked tree. I just love that look right now. So, this year, as a compromise, I added some flocked branches. There are two types. One is more full and pure white. The others are thinner and have silver sparkles with the white. I love the effect on the tree overall. The wide red and white stripped ribbon is also a new addition this year. It’s so merry! I watched several tutorials online on how to add ribbon to your tree. It was a bit trickier then I thought it would be. In my stories on Instagram, I have included some tips and tricks. So, be sure to check it out if you’d like to give this a try.

Our family room is so comfy and cozy this time of year. And yes, even Beckett gets a stocking! He’s always excited to find some treats in it on Christmas morning.

A few years ago, I added the cloche with a wintery scene. The kids say it’s one of their favorite Christmas decorations now! I will admit, that little polar bear sure is cute.

One of the easiest ways to add Christmas decor is ornaments. This bowl sits on our coffee table year round. It is usually filled with glass and woven balls. Here, I added some snow, a bunch of ornaments collected over the years and a few sprigs of greenery.
Things are so busy these days. In the rush of the holiday, take some time to sit and enjoy. It doesn’t have to be any more complicated than turning off the lights and enjoying the glow of your tree. It’s even better when you turn on some Christmas music and grab those you love. Enjoy the season!
